Manufacturing + digital files + timeline update

Greetings world builders!
Headline - full manufacturing has begun!
Shrink-wrapped map packs and encounter card decks ready for opening!
Good news! So. The manufacturers are currently on holiday celebrating their Chinese New Year - and well deserved - however, some items have already started production (the dice, patches, and pins), with everything else beginning at full speed as soon as the staff return to work :)
This puts us at full manufacturing completion in March, and shipping to begin shortly after that!
The production samples The samples we received are amazing, and SO nice to finally see in their finished glory!
The incorrect template was used to punch the holes in the maps though, so they don't align with the ring-binder. This is why the production sample phase is so important. The correct template has now been instated and I will get production proof of this to sign off before manufacturing begins.
Other than that, we detected no errors in any of the ATLAS products. My goodness everything looks and feels SO good!! I cannot wait for you to get these!

Digital Files Digital files have started to distribute, and will be continuing to drip out over the coming weeks. All digital encounter PDFs have been sent out (let us know if you SHOULD have this but aren't able to see it in Backerkit), as well as the Caves map pack!
Shipping Shipping will be charged as close to the shipping time as possible. This is to ensure your shipping costs are as accurate as can be. These charges can be expected in the next 2 months, and we will let you know here with an update before they happen.
We are so close now! It won't be long before your table is fully immersed and brimming with wonderful goodies!

Holy moly. Final art files take time.
First, dice - We've done it! They're beautiful. The back and forth in physical production is painstaking but we got there! Photos never do dice justice, as you're aware, but here's a little look :)

Progress - We're SO close to all art files being finalised (full disclosure - this update would have been a "we're finished" update but I was taken down with a parent-child-school related plague for a couple of weeks which set me behind schedule, I'm sure all parents understand :.) ) CAVES is the final pack to finalise art files for, and that should be completed next week, then we're DONE!

Timeline - We should have no problem getting everything in before the end of year festivities happen, then we just need to wait for the pre-production physical sample from the manufacturers. Once we get this (and if everything looks and feels perfect) we hit the green light for production and we are done! :)
I'll post a mini update again once everything is cleared with the manufacturers and we have a full production sample to show :)

Greetings world builders!
Just a quick update to let you know where we are.
The last month has seen a big shift into tariff (China - US tariffs) meetings with everyone across our production line. How that would affect us today, what it might mean for the future, how we mitigate this (there are many options), it's....a lot. Because, you know, every year there has to be something to make Kickstarters more difficult...right?! Anyway, more on that below. On to the positive stuff.
Final box art and final battle maps have been locked in, at least for this sample round. Why this sample round you ask? Well, because when I get the new physical samples it might suddenly dawn on me "Oh my goodness, why isn't there X map in this pack?!", and then we'll make one. These packs are truly going to be special, and designed for you to keep at your table for maaaany years to come. Reusable, beautiful, narrative rich, locations to be used time and time again. For example, below you can see a beautiful new Logging Camp battle map I've added to the Forests pack...or the Villages pack...I haven't quite decided which it would be most at home with. Any preference? If these samples are all good, I will lock them in permanently and digital files will be finalised and distributed to you all :)

The Dice are looking so beautiful. I don't need to show you them again, but I'm going to because I like looking at them :D We're awaiting new samples, as the previous iteration still had some rainbow banding, and I really don't want that in the final copies. Once this banding is eliminated we are locked in, so there's nothing else to do but look at these wonderful gems!
Encounters have all been written now, and are currently being reviewed, edited, and play-tested. It often makes me chuckle that the encounter decks take so much more time to develop and finalise than the battle maps... so it goes. :) There are a LOT of encounters to work through and perfect, so this will be rolling, realistically, for a couple of months. Once they're ready I will distribute digital Alpha encounter decks to you all for public play-testing, so you can get your hands on everything and try them out with your hungry players.
Tariffs are the talk of the town, I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about them (I sure am). However, I wanted to give a quick update about how they affect this project. Currently, there is no risk. I expect this to all blow over in the coming weeks and we'll see the international trade return to a somewhat regular service. I have a close eye on the situation and am lucky enough to be in a network of creators and companies who all share updates and solutions as soon as they're available. We are in good hands. Once we approach manufacturing and shipping I will be in a position to make decisions, until then, we needn't worry :)
Updates: As mentioned in the previous update, I don't spam you with updates, and prefer to let you know when we've hit tangible checkpoints or if/when there is news. Sometimes there may be a few mini updates across 1 month, other times there might not be an update for a few months. But rest assured, myself and the team (and companies we work with around the world) are well seasoned and everything is ticking along :)
Items can still be added from the backerkit pre-order store while orders are still unlocked. We won't be locking until right before manufacturing, which we are approaching but there's still time.
