Greetings world builders!
Dropping in quickly to unveil 2 new surprises -
We're all of us world builders at heart. What we, what YOU, do is nothing short of astounding, and I thought something to make that more official would be nice. So for all physical tiers, you get the following items added to your orders for free!
World Builder Enamel Pin
Included as a gift for ALL physical tiers!
World Builder Patch
Included as a gift for World Builder, and Tabletop Legend tiers!
Give yourself a little flare, and wear these as a badge of honour. Of victory. And pride. Because you ARE a world builder.
I CANNOT wait to get you these battle maps, I want to see them on your tables and hear about the incredible adventures you're having with friends! Let's make for a big finish and share with friends and communities so we can make even more together in the future! :)
Project We Love - SINK!
It look like pirate season...and what a bloody good season to be a part of!!
I'm an absolute sucker for pirate adventures. Hell, media in general. We're living in a time where we can enjoy these adventures from the safety of our tables, with friends, and no scurvy in sight!
SINK! is a 5e campaign book with adventures for 3rd to 10th level characters and player options including original subclasses and magic item tattoos!
Deep Dive: Let's look at the boxes and maps!

Greetings world builders!
I thought we'd take a closer look at the REAL real map packs. I've had these samples for some time now, and I've already made updates to the print files for the next (and hopefully final) round of samples. As I've mentioned on the campaign page - these are all complete and ready for manufacturing once the final tweaks are tweaked (1 page was cut wrong, the ring-binders on this set are the wrong style, the print on a couple of pages came out very blurred). These are all usual issues, and very much a part of the sample quality control process, and what this means is - we're WAAAY ahead of schedule. Waaay, waaay waaaay, ahead! Huzzah!
Anyway, let's take a look!
Boxes
Here's the real lineup in my office, and a dive into the Villages pack (other packs shown below so you can be assured they aren't just cardboard covers :D ). I'll tell you what, they have come out amazing, and I'm honestly excited every time I see them! Look at those covers (by James RPG)!
Map detail and sizes
Here's a closer look at the maps, which I know a lot of you have been looking forward to seeing! Everything is hand-painted, there is NO AI involved in any step of this process!
Just a quick reminder that these are 'digital samples' (yes they're physical...it's confusing I know :D ) these are printed on a different type of machine to what the full manufacturing production will be printed on. These are quicker and cheaper to produce, and more efficient for sample production. So the quality of the final prints will be EVEN BETTER (I can vouch for this with the samples and production copies of ATLAS 1).
'Always Visible' grid closeups
The corner grids from ATLAS V.1 ran into some problems for some users around cobbles and other 'busy' areas, so with V.2 we reinvented the grids and developed a subtle full-grid which is visible on all surfaces. Making battle movement quick and seemless, without having to look at a chain-link fence style grid with an environment obscured behind it! Any grid areas on these physical samples that aren't as clear as we liked will be edited and boosted for the final product :)
Other Packs
Forests
Caves
Tundra
Project we love: Down Among the Dead
Limithron is the ultimate Pirate creator, prove me wrong. The world's favourite Pirate RPG now has a sequel!! Shivering timbers, look at it!
It's a game about being a greedy, filthy, scoundrel. Find (steal) a ship, find (steal) some crew, raid, pillage, and plunder til you get killed by a bigger meaner pirate (or a Kraken) or become the biggest, meanest pirate on the high seas! Get the core book and all the expansion material, including full VTT support and a host of naval combat tokens!
I've got mine!

First Surprises, where we are, and Beadle & Grimm's maps!

Greetings world builders!
We just hit $107k (that's a flat £80k in the King's currency...), so I thought I'd give a quick update, unveil a surpise, and look at my battle maps in Beadle & Grimm's new awesome adventure book!
Where are we?
All 4x ATLAS 2 packs are complete - as you can see from the contents images on the campaign page. I've replaced 3 of the battle maps with better and/or newer options, and will probably replace a few more as we progress, as I want these packs to be the most impressive, immersive, and re-usable packs around. I make these because I want every table to have the best selection of backdrops possible, and I won't rest til that's the case :)
The Tundra Encounters deck is completed in draft form as of today! The other 3 decks have around 10 cards written for each. We have 80 encounter cards under our belt from the volume 1 encounter decks, so we're well versed with the process at this point and have had so much fun figuring out all of the cards :)
Peripheral products are in development and nearing completion already.
Regarding timelines, we're aiming for manufacturing to begin summer 2025 (these things take time, and manufacturers have their own timelines and bottlenecks), and from that point it's the conveyor belt of shipping (those that know about shipping will know that this takes time, and any global disasters will add to this timeline). I have estimated a delivery of February 2026 but hope that we can bring that forward into 2025, all being well :)
Surprises
Well would you look at that! The first surprise snuck out early on the tier images so some of you might have seen that already, but lets take a closer look at that one - MoonPup Companion Familiar, and a new surprise - Embossed luxury box cover upgrade.
1. MoonPup (Legend Tier backers) - I played around with some exciting ideas for this campaign, and this was one that stood out. You might be familiar (hehe) with Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting, well they revolutionised DnD in many ways. One of which was the ability to capture, tame and train companion familiars. We've teamed up with the Loot Tavern team to create your very own companion familiar - MoonPup! This companion familiar is playable, and levels up, gaining new abilities and greater power and utility as it does so. MoonPup is a completely unique companion to this campaign, and I KNOW they will serve you in your adventures well :) Legend Tier backers will receive MoonPup as a digital pdf for free, and I'd LOVE to make a physical card for them, but let's see what we can do :)!
2. Embossed covers(All Tiers) - I've wanted to bring an even more premium feel to these boxes, and now that this project is well on its way with your support I think we can make that happen! ATLAS v.2 map boxes will be embossed for ALL tiers as a free upgrade! The Moonlight logo, the title, and the frame, will all be embossed (raised from the rest of the material), giving every pack an even more luxurious look and feel.
Project we love (WITH MY MAPS): Faster Purple Worm! Everybody Dies Volume. 1.
I was a fan of this whole idea way before Beadle and Grimm's approached me to make battle maps for it. I mean - a collection of one-shots where you get to make awesome characters, fight epic level enemies, and know you're going to die?!...(Heroically hopefully)?! Come on. Sign me up!
These 2 battle maps are printed in the books, and come as physical extras in the alternate cover version of FPW Everybody Dies, so you can get them on your table!
I've backed it, I frankly can't think of a better way to have a night of no-stakes fun around the table!
Add ANY physical item to get your free dice!

First Update: FUNDED in 21 minutes!!!

Greetings world builders!
You did it!! ATLAS 2 funded in just over 20 minutes...that's...holy moly. I've backed a whole bunch of projects, personally and through Moonlight, and it still amazes me just what a community can do. YOU guys want this, YOU guys made it happen. Incredible. Your game tables are going to be insane!
On writing this we're currently just under $70,000 which is absolutely wild, and should sit us firmly in the realms of making this even better than I'd hoped! More news on that later!
Playtest Encounters
Whip out the playtest cards (free download pdfs on the campaign page) and get to playing! I want to hear the stories, taste the tears (player tears of course), I want to know what amazed your players, what they found difficult, what worked, what didn't. Let's build something truly remarkable together!
Send all and any feedback to [email protected] and we'll collate everything and make edits where needed, as well as keeping points in mind while writing future encounters.
GM 'Scene' Spotlight
"What is a GM 'Scene'?" I'm glad you asked! - A GM scene is a set dressing, if you will, for your GM screen and table in general. Without changing your familiar screen setup (which if anything like mine is packed with sticky notes, scribbles, and a multitude of labels & reminders), you can quickly drop a new backdrop to your world! Your players have left their cosy respite time in the rural village region and are arriving at the frostbitten wastes of the arctic tundra - you can replace the village GM Scene with the Tundra GM Scene. Every battle map you put down now has a thematic backdrop. You are your own stage manager :)
Let's keep this wagon train rolling! Every GM friend, every club, every local game store, they all make a difference to how big we can make this - more content, better materials, future pack settings, it's all to play for :)
