Greetings world builders!

Just a quick update to let you know where we are.

The last month has seen a big shift into tariff (China - US tariffs) meetings with everyone across our production line. How that would affect us today, what it might mean for the future, how we mitigate this (there are many options), it's....a lot. Because, you know, every year there has to be something to make Kickstarters more difficult...right?! Anyway, more on that below. On to the positive stuff.

Final box art and final battle maps have been locked in, at least for this sample round. Why this sample round you ask? Well, because when I get the new physical samples it might suddenly dawn on me "Oh my goodness, why isn't there X map in this pack?!", and then we'll make one. These packs are truly going to be special, and designed for you to keep at your table for maaaany years to come. Reusable, beautiful, narrative rich, locations to be used time and time again.
For example, below you can see a beautiful new Logging Camp battle map I've added to the Forests pack...or the Villages pack...I haven't quite decided which it would be most at home with. Any preference?
If these samples are all good, I will lock them in permanently and digital files will be finalised and distributed to you all :)

The Dice are looking so beautiful. I don't need to show you them again, but I'm going to because I like looking at them :D
We're awaiting new samples, as the previous iteration still had some rainbow banding, and I really don't want that in the final copies. Once this banding is eliminated we are locked in, so there's nothing else to do but look at these wonderful gems!

Encounters have all been written now, and are currently being reviewed, edited, and play-tested. It often makes me chuckle that the encounter decks take so much more time to develop and finalise than the battle maps... so it goes. :)
There are a LOT of encounters to work through and perfect, so this will be rolling, realistically, for a couple of months. Once they're ready I will distribute digital Alpha encounter decks to you all for public play-testing, so you can get your hands on everything and try them out with your hungry players.

Tariffs are the talk of the town, I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about them (I sure am). However, I wanted to give a quick update about how they affect this project.
Currently, there is no risk. I expect this to all blow over in the coming weeks and we'll see the international trade return to a somewhat regular service. I have a close eye on the situation and am lucky enough to be in a network of creators and companies who all share updates and solutions as soon as they're available. We are in good hands.
Once we approach manufacturing and shipping I will be in a position to make decisions, until then, we needn't worry :)

Updates: As mentioned in the previous update, I don't spam you with updates, and prefer to let you know when we've hit tangible checkpoints or if/when there is news. Sometimes there may be a few mini updates across 1 month, other times there might not be an update for a few months. But rest assured, myself and the team (and companies we work with around the world) are well seasoned and everything is ticking along :)

Items can still be added from the backerkit pre-order store while orders are still unlocked. We won't be locking until right before manufacturing, which we are approaching but there's still time.

DICE, Progress, Play-test, & Excite!

Greetings world builders!

Quick update to let you know that we're progressing very nicely!

Final map selections are being made in the coming weeks, at which point we can look to build and distribute digital content. Way ahead of schedule (woo)!
This will also lead into VTT builds and distribution. These packs are going to be epic, I really can't stress that enough. The Foundry VTT team I have are the best in the industry, and we're really rolling out something special with these! Fully interactive, immersive, ambient and dynamic encounter locations, WITH NO EFFORT FROM YOU! A dream!

Dice are VERY nearly ready...already. Take a look!
Twilight's Torment is one of the most beautiful sets of dice I've seen, which is exactly what I wanted! We're very close with this set. We are changing the order of the colouring, to get the best effect possible, and to ensure the holographic foil sits correctly in the centre of each die, and to elimnate some colour 'banding' which we don't want. But good grief, just look at them!

Eternal Equinox is almost there but still needs some work to reach perfection. We're working on getting the colours much deeper and more vibrant, as well as changing the colour order (as with Twilight's Torment) to stop the colour 'banding'. 

GM Scenes (I'm really excited about these, you know. Dressing up your table backdrop quickly depending on your setting is a massive table change) are moving to final art, with test samples coming soon.

Encounters are being worked on feverishly. Tundra is complete to testing level (we'll be keeping a close eye on the new 2024 (2025? Don't we need a new name?) Monster Manual to keep the encounter combat locked down, and making sure everything is future proof! Speaking of which, want to playtest a new one?

Moonlight Pens are ready! Beautiful chisel-tipped dry-erase pens. Fat lines, thin lines, you got it all! I did green on green here so you can see everything in real terms, I assume you wouldn't actually use green on a green background :)

Augmented Reality D20 Roller Pin is a mouthful (don't eat it, please) but SO good! My dreams of never being without a D20 are coming to fruition! :) Do we need a new name for this? Comments below :)

I try to not spam updates (if you're like me you have backed many crowd-funded projects...haha), but always post when there IS news/progress. This is my third campaign now, so rest assured everything is in good hands, and you will get news at every step of the way :)

Smoke Test Surveys + Quick Update

Greetings world builders!

Dropping in quickly to let you know a few things - 

Backerkit Surveys (these are how you confirm your orders and we collect your postal addresses, etc) are ready to go! Smoke Tests have been sent (these are a small % of backers randomly selected to ensure the survey process runs as intended), so if you have one of those in your inbox go and complete it :)
Once the smoke test surveys are complete and any errors that arise are fixed, all surveys will land in your inbox!

(when you receive it)
The surveys are very brief, with just a few short questions, confirmation of your item basket imported from Kickstarter, and oportunity to add some of the extra items you missed from the campaign. You will also need to complete your postal address (however these addresses won't be locked yet, addresses are locked MUCH closer to delivery to ensure we have the correct postal address) to ensure all items are correctly allocated, and to not hold up your items.
If you have not received a survey yet, don't worry, this is just a small selection of backers. I will update again when ALL surveys have gone out. At this point if you haven't received one, you can let me know :)

Once your survey is complete, your address is added, and any extra funds are cleared, you will be READY, and any/all digital items you have ordered will be automatically distributed once they are completed (*note - digital items cannot distribute until surveys and outstanding funds are completed).

Add-Ons

Extra items have been added to the pre-order store and add-on screen of your survey, so once you have your surveys you can pick up all of those extra dice, encounters, patches, and the NEW Moon Boss Battle Pack, that you missed during the campaign! :)

Deep Dive: Let's look at the boxes and maps!

Greetings world builders!

I thought we'd take a closer look at the REAL real map packs.
I've had these samples for some time now, and I've already made updates to the print files for the next (and hopefully final) round of samples. As I've mentioned on the campaign page - these are all complete and ready for manufacturing once the final tweaks are tweaked (1 page was cut wrong, the ring-binders on this set are the wrong style, the print on a couple of pages came out very blurred). These are all usual issues, and very much a part of the sample quality control process, and what this means is - we're WAAAY ahead of schedule. Waaay, waaay waaaay, ahead! Huzzah!

Anyway, let's take a look!

Boxes

Here's the real lineup in my office, and a dive into the Villages pack (other packs shown below so you can be assured they aren't just cardboard covers :D ). I'll tell you what, they have come out amazing, and I'm honestly excited every time I see them! Look at those covers (by James RPG)!

Here's a closer look at the maps, which I know a lot of you have been looking forward to seeing! 
Everything is hand-painted, there is NO AI involved in any step of this process!

Just a quick reminder that these are 'digital samples' (yes they're physical...it's confusing I know :D ) these are printed on a different type of machine to what the full manufacturing production will be printed on. These are quicker and cheaper to produce, and more efficient for sample production. So the quality of the final prints will be EVEN BETTER (I can vouch for this with the samples and production copies of ATLAS 1).

'Always Visible' grid closeups

The corner grids from ATLAS V.1 ran into some problems for some users around cobbles and other 'busy' areas, so with V.2 we reinvented the grids and developed a subtle full-grid which is visible on all surfaces. Making battle movement quick and seemless, without having to look at a chain-link fence style grid with an environment obscured behind it! Any grid areas on these physical samples that aren't as clear as we liked will be edited and boosted for the final product :)

Project we love: Down Among the Dead

Limithron is the ultimate Pirate creator, prove me wrong. The world's favourite Pirate RPG now has a sequel!! Shivering timbers, look at it!

It's a game about being a greedy, filthy, scoundrel. Find (steal) a ship, find (steal) some crew, raid, pillage, and plunder til you get killed by a bigger meaner pirate (or a Kraken) or become the biggest, meanest pirate on the high seas! Get the core book and all the expansion material, including full VTT support and a host of naval combat tokens!
